Travel Purpose: business

Positive: The location into Breckenridge was perfect to walk everywhere in the town. The view of the unit's patio opened up to a treelined courtyard that was our favorite sitting area. Thankfully, the shower was updated and a good way to begin the day before heading out to town!

Negative: In my opinion as a frequent vacation traveler, this unit needs a facelift and upgrade. My wife and I were unpleasantly surprised by the outdated condition and darkness of the unit. The photo posted was definitely brightened up quite a bit as the 'natural' sunlight only comes in from the patio side late in the day, leaving this unit rather dark and drab inside. There is a worn indoor/outdoor carpet at the entry way that leads to the living room which is carpeted with a (70's look-brown, gold, green blend) shag carpet that carries into the bedroom. Seeing this type of carpeting in a rental unit (ugh!) was an immediate clue not to walk around barefoot - keep your shoes on! The unit is 'furnished' with outdated chairs, tables, and lamps. The kitchen appliances are 20+ years old (yes, the manufacturer label on the microwave is 2002). There was mold on the caulking surrounding the living room window frame ... again, the 'keep you shoes on vibe'. In the bedroom, there is a bathroom chrome vanity style light externally wired and mounted to the wall as the main room light source. The unit is posted as having a washer/ dryer, but there is no in-unit washer/ dryer. Instead there is a shared pay laundry down in the garage. There were two 'humidifiers' (vaporizers, to be correct) in the room with one of them not working. A portable fan is provided (dirty fan screen) to keep the air circulating - but, ceiling fans would be a nice comfort touch?! Personally, my wife and I were embarrassed when we walked into the unit for the first time as we have stayed in Breckenridge units many times previously and have never experienced a disappointing unit during any of these stays.
