Located between two mountain streets, there are two ways to get to the Hibernation Station. Make sure to read the directions provided to easily locate both parking options! In the snowy months, navigating roads in Shaver Lake can be tricky. Make sure you have tire chains and a shovel. After heavy snow, 4WD may be necessary.

As you walk in to the cabin, the first thing you'll notice is the incredible view! Walk out to the expansive deck and take in the fresh mountain air! The cozy living space has enough seating for the whole family, a quaint dining nook by the window, and a functional kitchen with all you'll need to cook meals at home! Also located on the main floor is the master bedroom suite with electric fireplace, attached full bathroom, and laundry room. Another full bathroom with a bathtub is located just off the living room. The bathtub is perfect for the kids, or for a much needed soak after a long day of snowboarding, wake boarding, or horseback riding.
Climb the sturdy ladder up to the double loft. Adults will have to bend down when walking around upstairs, as this is a true loft. On one side, a full bed can easily accommodate adults, but we think this space would be perfect for the kids! Across the way to the other side of the loft, you'll find a queen bed, custom built by the cabin owner, and a TV with a DVD player and movies! It's going to be hard to get the kids to come down, but you won't mind if you're enjoying a glass of wine on the deck! While most adults can easily sleep here, some guests have said it is hard for larger people to maneuver, and would be best for older kids or teens. The ladder up to the loft will be tricky or dangerous for most children under 5.
Quaint and cozy, in true Shaver fashion, this home is compact and best suited for a family of up to 6, a few couples traveling together, a romantic getaway, or a low-key girls' weekend trip. We know you'll be booking your next stay before you leave! Our favorite part is the walk to town- a 5 minute mostly flat slow stroll will take you to Shaver Pizza, the Pub n Grub, Short Horn Bar, The Trading Post, and convenience shops and bakeries.
