Summary: We enjoyed our stay at IHG Clement Monterey. It is right on Cannery Row, so convenient to go to the Aquarium, restaurants and shops. The room was comfortable and the fire place made the room cozy. Our room faced the car park so we had no view. We did get a freebie water bottle which we could fill from the machine found in each floor. Did feel that being a IHG that we should have got complimentary water in the room, so seems standards have dropped. The bathroom was big, but surprisingly the products they provided were not good quality, that I ended up using my own products. I'd expected the product would make you feel like you was in the spa, but it had minimal lather and had an odd non-existent smell. We paid $85 for 2 for breakfast and had thought we would be provided with a buffet/cooked to order breakfast, but it was just for one dish & one drink each, the voucher included tax and tips, if the most expensive dish was $23 and the drink $11, with the tax and even tips, it would probably be fine, but we usually chose a dish of a lower value. The Clement Egg Benedict was over cooked so I avoided it and stuck to safer options like Pan cake or Waffles. I believe the value changes daily so if you can get the breakfast for better value, otherwise, just pay at the hotel separately. On website, it says self parking was $40, but hotel says $45 whether self parking or valet.i have a feeling the valet took our car for a 5 mile drive, but can't prove it, so didn't mention it to hotel.
