House being remodeled in June! New floors, decks, and more. Escape the bustle of city living & stay in our quiet charming cozy 3-level cabin located right on Shawnee Peak/Pleasant Mountain! Situated East slop-side ski in/out. Gorgeous water views from all levels. Private master suite! 10+ miles of hiking right out your door or swim, kayak, paddleboard in many surrounding full recreation lakes. Public access & boat launches close by (Moose Pond, Highland Lake, Wood's Pond, Salmon Point beach)
Our home is a spectacular window-filled, cozy, log home offering an abundance of amenities! Our 2,100 sq. ft. log home has 4 bedrooms (sleeps 12) with 3 full bathrooms. The perfect spot for large families that can comfortably host 12 guests.
300 yards away sits the 11 mile long Moose Pond, where you can hear the cry of the loons nightly, along with a barred owl or two. A kayak and paddleboard launch are is 4 mins and the public motor boat launch is 13 minutes from the house.
There is cable TV in every bedroom, living rooms, and game room with Wi-Fi providing a first class experience.
Our walk-in first level main entrance opens into a "mudroom" to store ski gear and equipment. This floor houses 2 bedrooms that sleep 7 guests, including 2 bunkbeds, a queen bed, twin bed, a sleeper futon, and a full bath.
The downstairs game room hosts to a 50’ flat screen TV, futon couch, foosball table, and numerous board games/puzzles. There is a 30 ft wrap-around porch that provides great mountain views and ski in access right off the trail.
On the main level boasts, 1 bedroom with a queen bed and full bath. Also on the main level is our large upgraded kitchen with an island (that seats 5), Formica countertops, , stainless fridge and gas stove, with a 55' TV. The additional dining area seats 6.
You will love our quaint living room attached to the kitchen in an open floor plan. The room is filled with natural light overlooking the ski mountain and a large slider with water views of Moose Pond. There is another 50 ft wrap-around porch on the main level with ski in right off the trail, 6 outdoor seats, 2 teak benches, and a fire pit to relax and watch the skies on gorgeous starry nights.
On the third level, escape into a private master suite with two separate seating areas, and a full bath with a tub. Also a futon couch for additional relaxing. Or sit on the leather chairs overlooking the mountain or lake with a faux fireplace and a 50' TV. Boasts a large closet, plenty of dresser space, room darkening shades, a Bluetooth radio, separate twin bed for a young sleeper, and breathtaking views as the sun rises on the lake outside the large picturesque windows.
This property is located trailside at Pleasant Mountain/Shawnee Peak Ski Resort on Mohawk trail (20 ft out the door) & 100 yds above the Sunnyside triple chair lift, and a few houses above the East Lodge. Skiers get prime "ski in-out" access to Pleasant Mountain/Shawnee Peak. Hikers get prime access to Pleasant Mountain’s 10 mile network of trails and 40+ ski trails.
Boaters get easy access to Moose Pond’s 17 Miles of shoreline from multiple nearby boat launches.
Close to Highland Lake or Salmon Point Beach's public beach and free parking.
