If your looking for a private getaway in the woods this is the cabin for you. Seven Oaks Lodge is located on the private lake called Little Sissabagama has a half mile long driveway into the cabin with14 acres of land surrounding it. There is not a neighbor in site. Little Sissabagama or "Little Sis" as the locals call it is a 308 acre lake with clear water and a sandy bottom. Because the lake is private much of the lake is un-developed. This lake just doesn't get the boat traffic that other lakes in the area do in the summer or pressure from fisherman so the fishing on Little Siss can be quite good. Just because the lake is private doesn't mean you can't bring a boat. You can still bring your boat and tie up at one of our two docks and there is a private boat ramp not to far away to launch your boat for our guests. We can also recommend several boat rental companies in the area who will meet you at the boat landing. This home features a nice sand beach area that is great for swimming and an unheard of 1,300 feet of lake frontage. The expansive views are the perfect way to enjoy your morning cup of coffee.

This full log home was originally built as a family retreat for the Houden Family. It features upper and lower living rooms as well as a library siting area and a large screen porch complete with a fireplace so there is lots of room for a big family to spread out and relax. Outside the home is an expansive deck and a firepit with chairs for the whole gang.
The large kitchen is the perfect place to prepare family meals and features high end major appliances that include a french-door refrigerator and dishwasher, Viking stove and a large pantry. In the kitchen area you will find a large dining table in addition to the the second large table in the formal dining room. This house was definitely built to entertain large groups.
The main level open living room connects to the kitchen and dining room and has plenty of comfy chairs and couches as well as an amazing stone fireplace and lake views.

It's not uncommon to see eagles soaring over the property, and wild life is abundant on this 14 acre estate. It's easy to just spend the day socializing on the deck, fishing or swimming at the sandy beach, or hopping in your boat and being out all day enjoying the water.
This is a great house for large groups who may want to celebrate a parents anniversary or all be together for a holiday celebration, a group of old friends getting together with their families, a church group or a women's scrapbook weekend, fishermen, hunters, snowmobilers, or a group of friends hitting the Casino in near by Hayward!
Dog Friendly but.... A Note About Dogs:
We LOVE dogs and we want our guests to enjoy their vacation with the whole family, including the furry members :-) Up to two dogs are allowed at this cabin with prior approval- an additional fee applies. That being said, please be mindful of whether our home is appropriate for your dog(s).
We may not be the vacation rental for you if your dog(s):
*Consider barking to be a favorite pastime;
*Chew things other than bones;
*Like to visit the neighbors unsupervised (we do not have a fenced-in yard), and/or;
*Use the house as a bathroom.
We ask that your dogs be supervised when at the cabin and crated when you are not (One large crate is available at the cabin). Also, it should not need to be said (but unfortunately needs to be, as we have had guests leave enough surprises for us), but PLEASE pick up after your dogs!! It is NOT the responsibility of our cleaners. Sorry, no cats, please.
SEASONS
From Mid June through July and August we only accept bookings for full weeks (7 Nights) from Sunday to Sunday.
September and May & the first two weeks in June require a 3-night minimum stay
Birkie Ski Event also requires a 4 night minimum stay.
The house includes use of the following outdoor water sports toys:
1 Canoe
3 kayaks
Swim raft in the beach area
(Always wear a life jacket when using water sports equipment)
HOUSEKEEPING
The home is professionally cleaned and sanitized following our local health department's Covid cleaning protocols between each guests. We supply paper towel, toilet paper, garbage bags, hand soap and dish washer soap as well as all bedding for the beds. The cabin also has a full size washer/dryer on main level. Bed linens, professionally cleaned at a commercial laundry between guests.
