A five minute drive will take you to the trail head of "White Oak Canyon Falls" or ten minutes to "Old Rag Mountain", two of Virginia's most acclaimed hiking trails, complete with water falls and rock scrambling. It is also only fifteen minutes from the entrance to the Blue Ridge Parkway for lovely drives or numerous other hiking trails. There are several Civil War battle sites within easy driving distance, for those history buffs in your family. The cabin is fully furnished with linens, dishes, microwave, and fireplace, etc. Dialup internet is available for those who just can't unplug. Check with your internet provider for access numbers.
